World Car of the Year narrows to Top Ten

Question: What of this year’s car models would you call the “World’s” car? Which would you select as the “World Performance Car”? Who’s the “World Green Car” winner?

We are about to find out. The 2008 World Car Awards have selected the top 10 finalists. The 47 jury members, who come from all four corners of the Earth, are writing their lists and checking them twice.

Although GM and Ford are suffering in the profits contest, it is good to see that their models still can wow people in appearance and technology. As can can be seen, Cadillac and Ford are in competition for the World Car honors while General Motors’ Chevrolet and Saturn nameplates are under consideration for World Green Car.

    Anyone else find it funny that neither Honda nor Toyota have a vehicle on the top 10 green car list, yet GM has 5? Score one for the home team!
