Performance and value are not mutually exclusive terms on the 2012 Volvo C70 Inscription. Like other recent models in the lineup, the C70 Inscription receives some engine and computer tweaking from Swedish performance company, Polestar.
For 2012, the Inscription package will be a $3900 upgrade, bringing the total price, including destination and fees, to $41,325. The package, which adjusts the air and fuel ratio, timing, and computer tuning, boosts the turbocharged, five-cylinder’s horsepower to an even 250.
Also included in the package are special 18-inch wheels, a gloss-black grille, and interior details, including a leather-covered dash, new floor mats, and sport pedals.
We’ve recently detailed Volvo’s efforts to go to an all four-cylinder lineup, as well as plans to close the factory where the C70 is built, by 2013. So, does this make the 2012 C70 Inscription a coupe “swan song” of sorts?
