Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca is one of the most famed (and notorious) racetracks in America and around the world. Aside from its setting in the hills around Monterey, California, the raceway is known for the “Corkscrew,” an aptly named corner that twists downhill as it drops off. It’s a corner we experienced first-hand we when test drove the 2013 Mazda CX-5 and the 2012 BMW 3 Series. But in today’s video, Jamey Smith attempts to drive a complete lap—about 2.24 miles—by flipping his car on its side, essentially driving the car on two wheels.
Driving Laguna Seca on four-wheels is challenging enough, but with the added skill necessary to skirt sideways on two-wheels while maneuvering through turns and corners, it’s downright absurd.
