Electric Vehicle

Using one or more electric motors for propulsion, an electric vehicle (EV) can be powered from an external power station, stored electricity originally from an external power source, or an on-board electrical generator, such as an engine or a hydrogen fuel cell. During the past few decades, the environmental impact of petroleum-based fuels has led to renewed interest in EVs because the electricity they use can be generated from a wide range of sustainable, renewable sources such as tidal power, solar power, and wind power, or any combination of those.
