Toyota’s Hybrid X Marks Spot At Geneva Motor Show

A peek at Toyota's 2009 hybrid?

Motor Trend got whiff that Toyota Motor Corp. will be debuting a new hybrid concept at next month’s Geneva Motor Show.
The world’s second largest automaker has been mum on any details about ‘Hybrid X’. The editors over at Motor Trend speculate that the concept will blend styling cues from both the automaker’s own Prius hybrid and the now-discontinued Honda Insight.

Our take? We can comfortably predict that while the concept will possess Toyota’s most advance hybrid technology, it won’t be a stunner like the FT-HS Concept it unveiled at the Detroit Auto Show last month. We think Hybrid X is likely the predecessor to Toyota’s new hybrid sedan for 2009.
