Tata Motors, the Indian car manufacturer who caught the world’s imagination with the production of the Nano, the cheapest car on the planet, has announced that it would be producing hybrid versions of the tiny car.
Details have been next to nil, though.
The parent company of Tata Motors, Tata Group, is said to be considering more investments in to automobiles, software, hotels and biofuels in South America including Brazil and Argentina. The Nano is being sold for as low as $2000 per unit. It was introduced for sale into the Indian market in July.
