One of Land Rover’s most popular models is going to be joined by two new limited editions for the 2013 lineup. Upon its introduction stateside back in 2006, the Range Rover Sport became an instant hit with stay-at-home-moms and professional athletes alike. The Range Rover Sport was so appealing at the time because it was a smaller and sportier alternative to the original Range Rover, larger than the LR2 and filled with more bells and whistles than the LR4. Now, Land Rover is offering a limited-edition Supercharged and GT Range Rover Sport for the 2013 model year.
Both limited editions will still rely on the normal supercharged 5.0-liter V-8 engine, which was added to the American version back in 2009. Bright red Brembo brakes will be featured on all 2013 Supercharged models and will peak out from behind a set of newly designed five-spoke wheels. Customers can also have the brake calipers painted in a more quiet black in they so choose. The Supercharged limited edition can be spotted easily thanks to the red “Sport” badge on the tailgate and embroidered floor mats on the inside. A carbon-fiber veneer package is also available giving the SUV’s insides a more modern and fashionable look. Also inside, owners can choose between a dark dashboard trim with seats wrapped in light colors or the other way around. All Sport models will offer a towing package which includes a hitch receiver, electrical harness, and variable rear-differential lock.
As for the GT limited edition model, it caters more to the enthusiast who desires more performance from their new SUV. An extended rear roof spoiler, rear chrome exhaust outlets, paddle shifters, and 20-inch five spoke wheels dipped in black paint come with the GT limited edition model. An 825-watt, 17-speaker Harmon Kerdon sound system is also available.
If you’re interested in one of these limited edition models you better act quickly. Both the Supercharged and GT limited editions will be coated in either Santorini Black or Fuji White paint. Only 300 units of the Supercharged edition and 450 GT models will be offered in white here in America. If black is more your style, 200 Supercharged units will be offered while 300 GT models will be coated in black.
