Subaru has issued a recall on its 2010 – 2011 model year Legacy sedan and Outback station wagon/crossover.
According to the automaker, the recall involves the six-speed manual transmission found in the vehicle. The supplier of the system notified Subaru that a “lubrication hole” was missing. According to Subaru, which then tested the system, the third gear would break after 37,500 miles.
Approximately 800 vehicles have been affected. The lack of a lubrication hole was due to a programming error, states Subaru.
Subaru will have its dealers resolve the issue.
