Spied: 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee Sports Revised Front Grille

In the latest installment from one of Chrysler Group’s two global brands comes the 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee, with a revised front end disguised in camouflage. Caught by our spy photographer while testing on public roads, the 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee will also sport minor tweaks to the interior which will include some improved technology features. The refreshed Grand Cherokee is also expected to have a revamped drivetrain and there have been hints of a diesel option as well.

The most obvious change seen through the camo is that the grille is slimmer than the one seen on the current model. Another minor tweak to the front end is the way the sheetmetal curves upward towards the headlights. The current model has sheetmetal that just spans below the grille instead. Check out a gallery of photos at Motor Trend’s Wide Open Throttle blog.

Chrysler is expected to include the Uconnect entertainment and navigation system with the 8.4-inch touch screen on the refreshed Grand Cherokee.  The all-new eight-speed automatic transmission is also expected to make its debut on the 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee. The 2013 Grand Cherokee will feature a five-speed automatic transmission and a V-6 engine that’s expected to get 17 mpg city and 23 mpg on the highway. The four-wheel drive model is expected to get a few miles below each rating.
