Case in point. Grey Goose Vodka. The so-called “World’s Best Tasting Vodka” (which we’d love to verify. Please, send a caseload) has teamed up with ultra-lux Rolls-Royce to promote its “Sip Responsibly” campaign. How? Grey Goose commissioned RR to build two custom limited edition Rolls-Royce Extended Wheelbase Phantoms.
The modifications are cosmetic: custom exterior paint and interior trim, and Grey Goose badges on the headrests and other locations. Note there are only a 100 Limited Editions in the entire world. All are handmade at the RR’s plant in Goodwood, England.
Our take? Grey Goose intends the custom RR Limited Editions to drive up to high end events such as concerts and paint galleries. There, chauffeurs will pick up their passengers and, while driving, educate them about the virtues of Grey Goose and the company’s Sip Responsibly campaign.
Uh, is it us, or there’s something odd about discussing alcohol to people rich enough to be driven by chauffeurs every day of their lives?
