Subaru is recalling 10,137 Subaru Forester compact crossover models for an issue relating to the vehicles floor mats. The floor mats weren’t made to specification, and could become a potential hazard.
Subaru is recalling its Subaru Forester models produced between January 2013 and March 2013, as the floor mats weren’t made to specification, and could curl when exposed to heat. According to the NHTSA report, curled floor mats could interfere with the operation of the vehicle, which could increase the risk of an accident.
Subaru will notify owners, and dealers will replace the four floor mats, without any charge to the owner. Owners may also contact Subaru at (800) 782-2783, and use recall number WQH-44. Additionally, owners can contact the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration Vehicle Safety Hotline at (888) 327-4236 (TTY 1-800-424-9153), or go to Safercar.gov.
