If the Range Rover wasn’t luxurious enough for you before, try these new Special Editions on for size. Land Rover has introduced three special edition Range Rovers to celebrate 10 years of production for the third generation luxury off-road vehicle. The TDV8 Westminster Edition, TDV8 Autobiography Edition and the TDV8 Supercharged Edition have all been added to Range Rover’s 2012 lineup. These special edition models all focus on elevated luxury with exterior and interior tweaks.
The Westminster Edition replaces the former TDV8 Vogue and Vogue SE models and come with even more features both inside and out. Outside, Land Rover enhances the Westminster’s front grille and side vents with bright silver, while the lower splitter bar and fog lamps receive a silver finish. Westminster badging is also added to the special edition Range Rover and it will ride on 20-inch 10-spoke wheels. Inside the Westminster edition are illuminated treadplates and luxury carpet padding the interior’s floor, and black lacquer trim is added as an interior accent. The front seats can be both heated and cooled and a 19-speaker Harmon/Kardon sound system rated at 1,900 watts provides passengers with audio. A 4.4-liter TDV8 engine powers the Westminster Edition and is mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission.
The Range Rover TDV8 Autobiography and Supercharged Autobiography both receive the Range Rover design pack, which gives the vehicles an even more robust appearance. This styling pack includes a new front and rear bumper, a silver front grille, side vents, and fog lamp housings. The exhaust tips have also been coated in a stainless steel to give the Autobiography variants an even flashier exterior. Both Autobiography vehicles sit on 20-inch alloy wheels coated in Shadow Chrome.
The interior of the TDV8 Autobiography and Supercharged Autobiography is outfitted with the Range Rover Seat Styling pack. This package includes rear seats that recline and have a lumbar adjustment, can be heated and cooled and have a multi-adjustable headrest with wings for more support. The Autobiography models also have a 19-speaker Harmon/Kardon sound system and illuminated treadplates. A 4.4-liter engine mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission powers the TDV8 Autobiography while the Land Rover 5.0-liter LR-V8 engine hooked to a six-speed automatic transmission can be found under the hood of the Supercharged Autobiography.
All three special edition Land Rover models are expected to go on sale in March of this year. The Westminster Edition comes with a price tag of around $92,000 while the even more posh TDV8 Autobiography $110,803 and the Supercharged Autobiography commands a $114,221 price tag.
