The 2014 Nissan GT-R has upped its already noteworthy status. At a slightly higher price than the previous model, which was priced at $96,820 for Premium and $106,320 for the Black Edition, the Premium package runs at $99,590, where the Black Edition starts at $109,300. This updated model features increased performance, better craftsmanship, and a new optional Premium interior. If you thought this car was fun before the changes, with improved torque response and acceleration at high revs (above 6,000 rpm).
So what’s new on the 2014 Nissan GT-R? Among the notable modifications are improved engine response in the mid- and upper-rpm ranges, increased body rigidity and changes to the suspension that result in a lower center of gravity, all aimed at improving handling at higher speeds. Many other changes went into the new model, with one of the new features being a special nameplate on each engine that shows the name of the individual engine builder.
As mentioned before, there’s an all-new optional Premium interior, which features hand-stitched Amber Red semi-aniline leather appointments to the front seats only, and a new red-accented steering wheel has been added to the Black Edition models.
What haven’t changed with the interior are the bucket seats, on-board driving recorder, center-mounted tachometer and multi-function display. Coming standard is a specially designed 11-speaker Bose sound system that provides sound quality that is perfect for a supercar.
Switching gears, the 2014 Nissan Murano CrossCabriolet continues as the world’s first all-wheel drive crossover convertible. The 2014 edition, with a lower base price of $41,995, comes with two new exterior color choices, Midnight Garnet and Gun Metallic, as well as the carryover colors, Super Black and Pearl White.
The 2014 Nissan Murano CrossCabriolet takes the foundation of the top-of-the-line Murano LE all-wheel drive to a higher level of standard features. It includes standard leather-appointed seats and a wood-tone trim to match the interior colors. Also standard on the CrossCabriolet are a Bluetooth hands-free phone system, SiriusXM satellite radio, and Bose premium audio system.
