Are luxury cars manufacturers turning to electricity? Porsche may be.
According to Motor Trend, Michael Macht, President and CEO of the company, said at the Frankfurt Motor Show that Porsche will be offering an electric sports car “one day.”
He added that it may not occur immediately because he was not satisfied with current battery technology. However, he said that Porsche engineers are already working on the problem.
Other luxury brands that are working on hybrid and electric vehicle powertrains include Mercedes-Benz (the SLS AMG eDrive), BMW (EfficientDynamics Concept), and Audi (the e-Tron).
