Porsche Buys a Tesla Roadster. Golly gee. We wonder what Porsche is going to do with that.
Remember not too long ago, Porsche did the same thing with a Nissan GT-R, leading to accusations that Nissan faked the Nurburgring record by using racing treads.
So what’s Porsche gonna think about Tesla’s sporty EV? Maybe they’ll claim the Tesla Roadster doesn’t actually run off pure electricity this time. Watch out, Tesla.
Actually, the luxury sport car company is being quite open about its purpose, which is to drive the Tesla, take it apart, study it and figure out what makes it tick. Porsche plans on cranking out its own electric sports car, which is rumored to already be in the works.
At least Porsche chose Tesla over Porker Tuners RUF, another company that has an electric roadster concept. The eRUF’s seven seconds from 0-100 kph is way too slow.
