Pontiac, HUMMER, Most Missed by Fans

Pontiac Factory

There’s a famous General Motors saying, “What’s good for GM is good for the country.” The automaker was a world power that was chuck full of brands: Chevrolet, Cadillac, Pontiac, Oldsmobile, Saab, Buick and soon after came Saturn and Hummer.Well, many of those brands are gone or will be shortly. The website CarGurus recently did a survey to determine which brand will be missed the most.

The winner? It was Pontiac.

It makes a lot of sense. The brand has a rich tradition of good models from the Firebird, GTO and Sunbird to today’s Solstice, G8, G6, and Vibe.

The survey had one big surprise. Hummer was favored over Saab and Saturn. It’s thought that Hummer supporters are buyers who can afford the high price of SUVs and have rejected the influence of the “green” movement.
