Former reality star Paris Hilton has jumped on the “going green” band wagon, as she has recently been seen driving around in a Cadillac Escalade Hybrid.
The Escalade jybrid is less fuel-hungry, getting 20 mpg city and 21 mpg compared to its non hybrid brothers which only get 10 mpg city and 14 mpg highway.
The Cadillac Escalade has a reputation of being a symbol of wealth and extravagance, being seen driven by celebrities such as Heidi Klum, Travis Barker, Brooke Burke, Terrence Howard, and the Game. The hybrid trim is no exception, loaded with the same features and options found in regular SUV and retailing for about $74,000, making consumers shell out some serious green for this green vehicle.
Our take? If Paris really wanted to go green then why doesn’t she get a more fuel efficient vehicles? The Honda Civic, a car whose reputation bases itself on economy and fuel-efficiency already gets better mileage then the Escalade Hybrid. In fact, Civic Hybrids are even more fuel-efficient, getting almost double the fuel-efficiency of the Escalade Hybrid.
