Nissan now says Yes to Chicago Auto Show; No to Detroit Auto Show

Nissan to appear in Chicago... Sort of

The troublesome economic environment had seen Nissan pull out of presenting at the Chicago Auto Show. After all, not having to transport sets, vehicles, and train presenters to appear at the numerous American auto shows venues seemed a quick way to save some cash.
And while Nissan is still committed to not appearing at the Detroit Auto Show, it has managed to strike a deal with its Chicago-land dealerships to staff and support Nissan’s appearance at the February auto show.

Our take? Though Nissan’s limited presence is better than nothing, one can’t help but feel disappointed that the auto show in general, once a bastion for the concept car and the premier venue to get people salivating over car; a distinct piece of Americana, seems to be falling out of favor.
