Nissan Leaf takes on Chevy Volt in MPG, MSRP

Nissan just announced its big EV project, the Leaf, a few days ago, only to have all its thunder stolen by GM’s big announcement this morning that the Chevy Volt will get 230 mpg under the proposed EPA testing program. Nissan wasn’t about to take that lying down, and fired back with its own estimate of 367 mpg for the Leaf.
“Nissan Leaf = 367 mpg, no tailpipe, and no gas required,” Nissan wrote on its NissanEVs Twitter page. “Oh yeah, and it’ll be affordable too!”
