Both the press and convention-goers were stunned at the 2012 Detroit Auto Show earlier this year. There, Toyota unveiled the Lexus LF-LC concept. The hybrid coupe not only showcased designs cues for future Lexus vehicles, but what could be the basis for an SC replacement.

Now comes word that Toyota plans to unveil another Lexus LF-LC model, this time at the Australian Motor Show. Says Tony Cramb, senior divisional manager for Toyota Australia: “We’ve pulled out all stops this year to secure a world first for Australia.” Adds Russ Tyrie, show director, “We are thrilled Lexus has chosen the Australian International Motor Show as the stage to unveil this new concept.”

Details, as you can imagine, are closely guarded by Toyota. Both Worldcarfans and our colleagues over at Automobile Magazine posted a lone shot of the rear right taillight (see above). We here at Automotive.com have plentiful shots of the current LF-LC concept including video of it against the Lexus LFA. Toyota was mulling about a production version of the LF-LC concept earlier this year, and this Australian debut may be one step closer to reality.
