What is the best handling production car in America? Motor Trend Magazine held a contest to find out.
Four divisions were created: Front-Engine/Front-Drive; Front-Engine/Rear-Drive; Front-Engine/All-Wheel-Drive; Mid- or Rear-Engine/Rear- or All-Wheel Drive. For a vehicle to be considered, it had to be made in the U.S. and certified as American. Finally, it had to be available for sale to all in 2007.

Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution IX MR - Front-Engine/Rear-Drive
BMW 335I Sport; Chevrolet Corvette Z06; Honda S2000 - Mid – or Rear-Engine/Rear- or All-Wheel Drive
Lotus Exige S; Porsche Cayman S; Porsche GT3
