Japanese automaker Mitsubishi and French Peugeot are set to be partners in the development of batteries, systems, and other electric car technologies to produce all electric vehicles.
Mitsubishi, being at the forefront of electric car development, is likely to supply Peugeot with lithium ion batteries, drive systems, and other technologies. As to what Mitsubishi will gain from the alliance (more cash?) is to be determined.
The two makes are not new to cooperating on projects, having already worked together in the development of SUVs.
Our take? A fitting partnership consider the French-Japanese Renault-Nissan is looking to electric cars as the future as well.
