For the new model year, Mitsubishi has given the Lancer an array of new standard and optional features, as well as powertrain options. The Lancer is available with a five-speed manual transmission, or the available continuously variable transmission that helps to improve fuel economy. New features for the 2014 Mitsubishi Lancer include a new audio system, air conditioning, keyless entry, auto-off halogen headlights, anti-theft engine immobilizer, a chrome grille surround, sculpted side air dams, and clear and black taillights.
Safety features include standard dual-stage front airbags with occupant seat position sensor, side-impact head protection curtain airbags, anti-lock brakes with electronic brake-force distribution, active stability control with traction control logic, and a tire pressure monitoring system.
The Mitsubishi Outlander offers new packages and standard features, similar to the Lancer, including a new audio system, steering wheel with audio controls, and improved sound insulation materials. Standard features for the Outlander Sport include active stability control, hill start assist, and electronic brake-force distribution, along with seven standard airbags and the supplemental restraint system.
