Misbehaving headlights are the cause of the latest Honda recall. According to the automaker, wiring in model year 2002-2004 Honda CR-V and Pilot crossovers could cause the headlights to fail which could lead to an accident.

Approximately 554,000 Honda Pilot and CR-V vehicles may be affected by the issue. CR-V and Pilot owners can contact Honda at (800) 999-1009 and select option 4 for information. Owners can also log on at www.recalls.honda.com. Honda plans to start contacting CR-V and Pilot owners next month where they’ll be directed to dealerships to have the crossovers inspected and parts replacement if deemed necessary.

Honda states no accidents, injuries, or fatalities have been reported attributed to the issue.
