We’re less than two weeks away from the Paris Motor Show and we now have word that Audi will make an exclusive version of the Audi SQ5 TDI, one which we’ll get to see firsthand at the show. How do we know it’s exclusive? For one thing, Audi is calling it the “Audi SQ5 TDI Exclusive Concept.” But there’s more.
Audi will produce 50 SQ5 TDI Exclusive Concepts to be delivered in 2013, with dealerships in Germany will be charging about $120,000, a $45,000 premium over the regular SQ5 TDI. Both are powered by an identical twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter TDI engine, good for 313 hp and a blistering amount of low-end power. So what makes this version special? The dollars are in the details, specifically the aesthetic ones. Audi has created a dramatic Aral Blue crystal effect paint finish that is sure to turn a few heads. Inside, Nappa leather contrasts with snow white stitching. Audi is using “woven leather” in the center portion of the seats, the first of its kind in a production vehicle. There are a few other little premium styling touches, but really, this one’s for Audi enthusiasts that don’t mind shelling out the extra for some exclusivity.
