A motley crew of odd auto enthusiast delights will be up for auction this week, including the ultra-limited Lexus LFA Nurburgring Edition supercar. Beginning on Halloween and going running until November 3, 2013, the RK Motors Collector Car Auction held in Charlotte, North Carolina, will feature a total of 17 vehicles at “no-reserve,” with the Lexus LFA Nurburgring among them.
The LFA is one of 50 Nurburgring Editions built and the only model with a white exterior and Alcantara interior. Powered by a 562-horsepower, 4.8-liter V-10, this limited model has only 366 original miles on it. Oddly enough, the Lexus LFA will be joined by a Toyota Camry supercar as well (the preceding may be the only time “Camry” and “supercar” have been used in the same sentence, possibly). The 680 hp 2010 Nascar Edition Toyota Camry was a collaboration between Toyota Racing Development (TRD) and RK Motors and “blends on-track performance with street-friendly comfort.” It has rear-wheel drive and a V-8 like the racecar version, but it also comes with four seats and a full interior instead of just rivets, screws, and exposed steel.
Additionally, on auction will be a quartet of Chevrolet Corvettes, including a 1967 Stingray roadster with a Goodwood Green Metallic exterior and an iconic 427 V-8 engine. Uniquely, the event will feature a real-time, four-hour simulcast to the United Arab Emirates on November 2. The event will take place at the 7-star Emirates Palace Hotel, adjacent to the world-class Abu Dhabi Formula One track, on the evening preceding the 2013 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.
