The order lines for the 2014 Maserati Ghibli aren’t open for business quite yet, but if you want to see its features and other available options, we can help. Thanks to a leaked ordering guide, we now know that Maserati’s latest creation will feature several different wheel options, six choices for brake caliper colors, and overall dimensions. The Ghibli will also feature an aluminum hood and door panels as well.
Other suspensions have been confirmed including the 3.0-liter twin turbo V-6 engine, which is rated at 345 horsepower while the S Q4 variant is tuned to churn out 404 horsepower. Both are hooked to an eight-speed automatic transmission. This ZF-sourced transmission features a rear self-locking limited slip differential and a steel driveshaft. Maserati claims the higher output combination is good for a 0-62 mph time of 4.8 seconds and tips the scales at 4,135 pounds. The leaked order guide also gives us a better look at the suspension, which will feature coil springs up front, and a five-arm multilink system with four aluminum aluminum arms in the rear. As for the all-wheel drive system, we know it has been completely redesigned with a focus on handling.
That last part falls in line with Maserati’s claim that the Ghibli is designed for those who enjoy driving. The rear-wheel drivetrain pushes the Ghibli’s 18-inch standard wheels along but if you opt for the Ghibli S Q4, power is evenly dispersed to all four tires. Other details revealed in the order guide include two different solid paints (bianco and nero), two choices of metallic paints (grigio and grigio metallo), and three different metallescent paints (grigo martea, bronzo siena, and champagne).
Unfortunately, none of the features or options were included in the leaked ordering guide for the 2014 Maserati Ghibli. However, we expect the base price to be pegged somewhere around $75,000 and work its way up from there. The 2014 Maserati Ghibli is expected on dealership showroom floors starting this September.
