Toyota will officially debut a refreshed version of one of its most important vehicles–the 2013 Toyota Rav4–at the 2012 LA Auto Show later this week. But convincing images have leaked ahead of the official unveil, and thanks to Carstyleblog we’re able to get an early peek.
The RAV4 has earned a reputation as a very good, functional compact utility vehicle that can shuttle the family about town. The 2013 RAV4 will allow those in inclement weather to purchase an all-wheel-drive version as well. Expected to keep both the entry-level 2.5 liter four-cylinder, and the available 3.5-liter six-cylinder engine, the 2013 Toyota RAV4 will continue to offer the versatility buyers have come to expect. Larger than some of its competitors, the RAV4 has previously offered a third-row option, one that we don’t see in these images. It’s possible Toyota will bring the third-row back to give it an edge over the Honda CR-V, Ford Escape, and Mazda CX-5.
