It wasn’t that long ago when we posted how the exotic car companies were actually doing well despite the auto industry recession. Well, we need to take another look.
The largest dealer of exotic cars in the entire world, Lamborghini Orange County in Santa Ana, California, has closed its doors for good. The owner of the company boasted that his dealership sold 10 percent of all Lamborghinis sold worldwide and the company had announced plans to move its North American headquarters to Santa Monica, California to be close to this dealership. Reason cited was “mismanagement”.
Uh, huh.
At least nine other non-exotic (e.g., Saturn, etc.) auto dealerships have closed since January of this year in Orange County California.
