When Kia launched the Borrego SUV in the summer of 2008, there was an elephant in the room in the form of record fuel prices and declining demand for body-on-frame SUVs. Reviews of the vehicle didn’t take more than sentence or two to condemn the timing of the big Kia. Despite Kia’s typical value pricing, the Borrego seems to be a victim of 2009′s horrifying recession.
The full article can be found at Automobile Magazine. Our take? We’re not surprised that Kia is discontinuing the model. Not only it’s considered a throwback in an age of increasing fuel-efficiency, but the Borrego looks out of place in Kia’s more sporty lineup.

    WOW already?? HAHAHA….I mean seriously…who in there right mind would buy a car/truck/suv that is named Sheep??? Come on people…this car was doomed from the start!!
