Could it be that Chrysler, seeing little interest in its brands from the auto industry, may enter a different segment? How about furniture?
That’s what Truck Trend seems to be implying with the Jeep Office chair. Per the article:
Designed with the blueprints of Jeep automobiles in mind, Jeep’s lines of office chairs offer a complete office chair package by providing maximum support and ergonomic comfort while reminding the user that the chair represents everything that is Jeep: durable, rugged, and stylish. With two lines and eight different office chairs, there is sure to be a Jeep Office Chair for every Jeep enthusiast. Each office chair carries a limited five-year warranty.
Our take? Huh. The chairs don’t look too bad. We especially like the SRT-Ergo Office Chair (of course). I think Chrysler/Jeep/Costco will do just fine as long as they avoid a Jeep Compass chair….

It’s not desparation. Chrysler makes cars. Anything else with the Jeep name on it is made by another company that has the license to use the name Jeep on its product. It’s a smart marketing move that many companies use. Jeep has its name on 100s of products, from office chairs to beer mugs to diaper bags to watches to coolers. These new chairs are well made and super comfortable. As a plug for my company, we’ll be carrying them too at http://www.allthingsejeep.com.
This sounds like desperation to me!
