IntelliChoice, one of our sister brands and also a leader in value analysis for cars and trucks, has named Hyundai and Volvo as its top two certified pre-owned brand car brands, ranking above the likes of Porsche, Lincoln, Mini, and Honda.
In its CPO Car Awards, IntelliChoice divided automotive brands into two categories: popular brands and premium brands. Hyundai won top honors on account of its thorough inspection score in which the brand earned a 100-percent rating from IntelliChoice. It also got the second-highest warranty score of the evaluation. This is likely one of the first pieces of good news for Hyundai since, as we reported last week after the kerfuffle brought upon the automaker from fudged fuel economy numbers, IntelliChoice lowered its ratings of many popular Hyundai models.
Likewise, Volvo won accolades for its warranty and inspection procedures, with CPO vehicles eligible for a six-year/100,000-mile warranty in addition to the remainder of Volvo’s initial warranty period. Volvo finished in the top five in every category when all brands were considered.
