With a coupe and sedan version of its G-series cars, the only other variant luxury sports car brand Infinitiare lacking to go toe-to-toe with the likes of the BMW 3-Series are a convertible and a wagon.
The wagon is likely to be a no-go: Nissan’s upscale offspring has, after all, has its crossovers to appeal to that niche.
As for the convertible? Well it seem that is far closer to becoming a reality.
Details are sketchy but, according to Motor Trend, look for another derivative of the FM-platform to underpin it with power coming from their corporate 3.7 liter V-6.
Our take? A G37 convertible, if it comes to pass, had better be a hard top convertible to truly take on the BMW 3-Series.
[Editors Note: It's been confirmed the convertible will be a hardtop.]
