Recently, Associate Road Test Editor Carlos Lago of Motor Trend noticed the Nissan GT-R supercar rarely placed among the car enthusiast site’s testing such a best acceleration, braking, and other performance categories. Like us, he, too, found that odd since the Nissan GT-R is a fan favorite among sports car enthusiasts, enshrined in most minds among greats like the Porsche 911 Carrera and Audi R8.
So Lago tested the latest 2013 Nissan GT-R to see if he could drive the super car into each of the top ten performance categories. For this week’s Motor Trend Ignition episode, he subjected the GT-R to three different tests: acceleration, where he’d measure how fast the Nissan GT-R could cover 1,320 feet as fast as possible; braking, where the GT-R would have to halt from 60 mph in less than a hundred feet; and its speed around a figure-eight course.
