Hyundai looks take on Tata Nano on hometurf

It makes sense for Hyundai to try to respond to Tata in the Indian market. Why? The Korean automaker is the second largest auto maker in India and Tata Motors is third.

The Nano is a $2,500 car. Motoring reports that Hyundai is saying that it plans to come up with its own low cost mini car to be sold in India starting in 2011. Note that Hyundai also plans to unveil a fuel-cell powered SUV and midsize sedan by 2012, and a hybrid by 2020.
