When we think “rental car,” we cringe. The term conjures stale memories of even staler vehicles, and of traveling experiences we’d rather forget.
Enter Hertz and Lotus, a traveling enthusiast’s dream come true. While Hertz America’s Adrenaline Collection does little to stimulate our own glands, Hertz Europe’s new Adrenaline Range adds the gorgeous Lotus Evora to a line that already includes an Abarth 500, Volkswagen Scirocco, and Alfa Romeo Brera.
Chew on that the next time you’re stuck with a gutless Chevy Aveo or Toyota Corolla.
“We are very proud to offer the Lotus Evora for exclusive hire in Europe following its rental success in Italy, thanks to our extended partnership with Group Lotus plc.,” said Michel Taride, President of Hertz International. “The hugely popular Lotus Evora is the perfect ambassador for our new Adrenaline Range, combining style, elegance, agility and sportiness to make driving journeys a dream come true.”
The Evora will be offered in 15 new markets, including several airport locations in Germany, Spain, France, and the UK. Rates start at 250 euros a day and Hertz recommends reservations for what should be a popular item.
“We are pleased to extend our agreement with Hertz,” said Group Lotus plc Director of Sales Guillaume Chabin. “The lightweight, mid-engined rear-wheel drive configuration performs like no other and the 2 + 2 seated Lotus Evora is the perfect choice for those who desire exclusive and high performance motoring. Driving an Evora during a weekend will be an unforgettable experience for any sports car enthusiast.”
We can think of worse ways to travel the old world.
