The Cadillac Converj concept was considered one of the hottest concept cars at this year’s Detroit Auto Show. Many auto journalists and pundits hoped it would make it into production. Alas, it was not to be so.

In spite of the presence of everything it needs, scarcity of funds and more important vehicles in the pipeline have unfortunately gotten rid of all the chances of the Cadillac Converj Concept to reach production in the near future. Lutz said that before the Converj could receive a production go signal, they have to show that they have the cash first and, he added that they have not done anything in that direction as of the moment.
I wouldn’t pronouce a death sentence for the Converj just yet. It’s introduction might not be imminent, but something similar to it may be showing up in showrooms in a few years.
