General Motors has killed another one of its divisions. Don’t worry. It’s none that you, or most consumers, even know about.
The division is GM’s medium duty trucks. The company produces two models, the Chevrolet Kodiak and the GMC Topkick.
GM tried to unload its models and was searching for a buyer for about four years. In 2007, it looked like Navistar International was interested but the deal expired. GM also was in talks with Isuzu as well. But obviously, if the reports were true, the deal could not be finalized.
Production will cease by July 31 of this year.
