Auto makers worldwide have learned during this so-called Great Recession is that it is better to play nice with each other. Companies that used to be major rivals in the past have partnered up to develop new technologies to save money. And appears that this trend will continue even after the recession ends.
Now Tom Stephens, GM’s vice chairman for product development, has said that General Motors is interested in partnering with other automakers on such things as batteries, electric motors, and power electronics.
