General Motors Co. has announced that the redesigned 2014 Cadillac CTS will debut at next month’s New York International Auto Show. Along with the unveiling of the CTS, Cadillac will release the all-new Escalade this fall.
The company told dealers about the plans for the new CTS and Escalade to come out later in the year at a dealer meeting at the National Automobile Dealers Association, according to Don Butler, vice president of marketing for Cadillac. “We just talked about continuing to keep the momentum and raising their sights in terms of what’s possible in terms of a sales standpoint.”
Although overall sales in 2012 fell 1.7 percent from 2011 with 149,782 units sold, January 2013 sales rose 47 percent. This has been the best month for retail sales in more than 23 years. After the meeting, some dealers said the overall feel of the meeting was positive for the future of the Cadillac brand.
