General Motors brand Saturn fate to be decided by end of 2009

The grim reaper will be taking Pontiac to the car heaven in the sky. Now comes word that Saturn could be following or it might be sold. Whatever happens to Saturn, it is not going to be part of General Motors by the end of 2009.
A new vehicle supplier is being sought for Saturn and there are hopes of having one by September 1. In addition, an investment group known as Telesto Ventures has its eyes on Saturn in order to sell its products overseas under various brand names. And some foreign carmakers are said to be interested in the brand so that they can use it to introduce their own vehicles to the U.S. market.
