Fisker Automotive has released a few squiggly lines depicting the general shape of its second model, to debut before the New York Auto Show: the midsize Fisker Nina.
The automaker didn’t give us much information about its upcoming car. In fact, all we received was a one-sentence press release saying “Fisker Automotive is holding a special event ahead of the New York Auto Show to share with media, retailers and the public a business update and give a glimpse of the future of our company.” That’s not a whole lot of information to go off of when talking about a new car, but we’re fortunate to have have picked up a few additional details ahead of this release.
The Fisker Nina is expected to be smaller than the Karma—about the size of a BMW 5 Series—and will come with a BMW turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine as a range-extending generator to its electric motor. It will likely seat four people, and it’ll be approximately half as much as the $107,000 Fisker Karma. It’s also going to be produced in Wilmington, Delaware, in a plant once owned by General Motors.
Fisker didn’t provide any further information on when or where the Nina would be shown, but it said it would distribute an email shortly before the press conference with more details. We’re placing bets on the location to be a super secret hideout in a tree fort, but we’ll let you know with more certainty when we find out.
