Fisker Electric Car for the Masses Delayed Again

 Man In Despair

Waiting for your Fisker electric car? Well, you better wait a little longer.

The Detroit News reports that, according to a report issued by the Energy Department, Fisker planned to start sales of its plug-in Karma electric sports cars for the summer launch. Fisker spokesman Russell Datz, however, says that while a “first few customers” will get a vehicle by year’s end, full EV production is not scheduled until the first quarter of 2011. Datz went to emphasize it’s funding that is the source of the delay, not the vehicle itself.

Our take? We’re not surprised by the delay.
