Bruce Wayne, eccentric billionaire by day, is better known for moonlighting as Batman. Wayne is known more for being subtle in rides like a Lamborghini Murcielago, but fans of the Caped Crusader can enter for a chance to win a one-off Nissan Juke NISMO inspired by the third installment of The Dark Knight trilogy. The commemorative Juke has been built to mark the release of The Dark Knight Rises on DVD and Blu-Ray and will not be made available to the general public. Only one model of The Dark Knight Rises Juke NISMO, as it’s so eloquently known as, will be built.
This special edition Nissan Juke NISMO is based off of the new model with the same name, which is slated to hit the open market in January of next year. Nissan has also made it known that the Juke NISMO will be available in the United States and other NISMO vehicles will follow it as well. Like the mass production base model, The Dark Knight Rises Juke NISMO will feature a 1.6-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine which is rated at 188 horsepower and mated to a six-speed manual gearbox. Nissan estimates a 0-62 mph time of 7.8 seconds. Sister publication Motor Trend‘s long-term 2011 Nissan Juke SL AWD was clocked at 7.8 seconds in the 0-60 mph acceleration test, so we’d be surprised if the Juke NISMO doesn’t have a little more pep in its step than Nissan is letting on.
The Dark Knight Rises Nissan Juke NISMO includes features like matte black paint, a NISMO bodykit, sportier suspension, and multiple Batman inspired accents. Instead of the regular antenna, a shark fin model takes its place while both NISMO and aluminum Bat badging are present on the front grille and tailgate too. The Dark Knight Rises Juke NISMO rolls along on 18-inch alloy wheels dipped in gloss black paint and include a red bespoke touch. A red pinstripe also runs along the bumpers and sills, a standard exterior styling cue on the regular Juke NISMO model. Batman logos are also featured on the seat’s headrests and lights mounted on the sideview mirrors project the same logo onto the ground. The door sills also feature the Bat logo.
If this special edition Juke NISMO is of any interest to you, head on over to builttothrill.co.uk for a chance to win it. The competition runs until February 28 and a winner is expected to be announced sometime in March.
As stated earlier, Nissan will begin taking orders of the Juke NISMO in January of 2013 with deliveries expected to begin arriving in March. The Juke NISMO will be available with two different gearboxes, a two-wheel drive manual and a four-wheel drive continuously variable transmission automatic. Pricing and other specifications are expected to be released closer to the Juke NISMO’s launch.
