Mercedes has released information on the E350 BlueTEC, its first diesel-hybrid vehicle.
According to Mercedes, the E350 BlueTEC will be powerful as well as environmental-friendly. The sedan uses a four-cylinder diesel engine capable of producing 150kW and an electric motor capable of producing an additional 15kW giving it a combined output of 165kW (224 horsepower). This makes the E350 BlueTEC, which averages 4.1 l/100km and C02 emissions of 109 g/km, it also makes it more powerful than most of the other gasoline-powered hybrids on the road.
