Daihatsu HSC Concept’s 77 MPG Goal

Daihatsu Hsc Front Left Stage

Daihatsu Motor Company has unveiled a new light duty concept car it calls the “HSC” at the recent Tokyo Auto Show. The four seater’s goal is fuel-efficiency; in this case, over 70 mpg. Wow!

To achieve this goal, the concept includes a 0.66 liter three-cylinder engine. Construction includes the use of steel plates in the body of the car. This reduces the vehicle’s weight.

Extensive details can be found at Tech-On. Our take? It’s pretty cool-looking , too.
