It used to be that, if you were in the market for a new car, you could secure one of your best deals by waiting for the end of a vehicle’s model year. Chrysler may havemade the decision, though, much harder for buyers and sellers.According to the Detroit Free Press, Chrysler notified its dealership last week that it will be rolling out incentives for several of its 2007 models. Now buyers can received up to $2,500 rebate to lease, for example, a 2007 Dodge Ram or Chrysler Pacifica. Dealers, though, are none to happy with the program since it makes it that much more difficult to sell their 2006 models.
Our take? DaimlerChrysler has especially been hit hard with the continued high gas prices with many dealerships bloated with large trucks and SUVs. This is a good time for buyers who are interested in such vehicles to negotiate for the best deals.
