Chevrolet and Disney have teamed up for a new interactive experience at Disney’s Epcot Center in Florida. The Test Track attraction has been completely overhauled and reimagined by the bow-tie brand and Disney’s Imagineers to give park visitors an inside and behind-the-scenes look at a professional design studio.
The thrill ride with advanced computer technology features glimpses of automotive design, animation, and architecture. Visitors will even be able to try their own hand at the design process, and will be able to test drive it for a grade from Chevy designers on the “track.” Once finished, guests will be able to share it socially with their family and friends.
“The re-imagined Test Track portrays an optimistic view of the future, and reflects the deep collaboration between Disney and Chevrolet on both the design and the overall experience,” said Eric Jacobson, senior vice president, Walt Disney Imagineering. “It’s a thrilling attraction supported by rich exhibit displays and interactive elements that bring guests directly into the design process – with a few surprises thrown in.”
The new Test Track will open on December 6, 2012, and if it gets even half the hype that Cars Land got for Disney’s California Adventure, expect lengthy wait times. For more information, visit Disney online.
