The 2013 Cadillac XTS may be the American automaker’s finest expression of luxury and technology to date, and naturally, Caddy would look to apply its newest application to an aging livery fleet. It appears that time is now. Cadillac has released details for the XTS Livery Sedan, which not surprisingly look a whole lot like the 2013 Cadillac XTS. That’s good news for chauffeurs and passengers alike.
Drivers can count on sufficient power from the 3.6-liter V-6 that will provide up to 300 horsepower if needed; and push-button start, Cadillac’s CUE infotainment system, available navigation, and a capless fuel tank filler are nice, modern conveniences. With 19-inch alloy wheels and large Brembo brakes, the XTS looks commanding and asserts presence. Inside, passengers will find a nice, premium cabin, with available heated seats, sun shades, a microfiber suede headliner, and rear air controls. Three passengers can easily fit in back, or two with a little more wiggle room.
In addition to the Cadillac XTS Livery Sedan, Cadillac will offer the XTS Limo, Escalade Livery, and an XTS Hearse that Caddy is dubbing its “funeral coach.” Chauffeurs driving the Escalade will have a 6.0-liter V-8 hybrid option in addition to the 6.2-liter V-8 available in both regular and extended-wheelbase versions. We expect more information on the XTS Limo and funeral coach vehicles soon.
