News from camp Cadillac continues to bustle, as the American luxury automaker was recently spied once again testing the 2014 Cadillac CTS, while still busy launching the 2013 Cadillac XTS, and making final preparations for the 2013 Cadillac ATS.
Our friends at our sister site Motor Trend have procured some interior shots of the newest Caddy to complement the exterior ones we’ve seen. The automaker was out testing the 2014 Cadillac CTS on the famed Nurburgring in Germany. Cadillac did extensive testing of the all-new ATS model there as well, as the ATS appears ready to take on German stalwarts such as the BMW 3 Series. As the CTS also mends the divide between sport and luxury, we’re not surprised Cadillac has chosen the Nurburgring once again.
From what we can see in the latest photos, the 2014 CTS sports a V-patterned grille along with LED daytime running lights. In keeping with the newer design aesthetic, Cadillac has replaced the round-exhaust tips with rectangular ones. From the new images of the interior we can see a digitized screen similar to the one in the 2013 XTS we recently tested. In the XTS, the driver can select from one of four modes—we wouldn’t be surprised if a similar configuration was available in the new CTS. Leather features prominently on all surfaces and the modern, premium interior seems in keeping with what we’ve seen of late from Cadillac.
